Setup instructions


for Unix VPN client

1. Installing VPN client software

In order to use Anonymous Proxy Server VPN services you will need to download and install one of the following free VPN clients for Unix:

PPTP Client (Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD and OpenBSD)

   

Opensource IPSec VPN client

   

poptop-1.1.2 (Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD and OpenBSD

   

mpd-5.0 (FreeBSD)

   


2. Configuring the VPN client

The options listed below should be set for the PPTP VPN connection:


  • Username/Password: <your account details> (set your VPN username as "123456@pptp", where "123456" is the username you have received in the account opening email)


  • VPN Server IP address: 67.213.70.210


  • PPTP Compression: On (optional)


  • PPTP Encryption: 40-bit or 128-bit (optional)


  • Set default route: yes
